Mikindani Day 2024

It’s that time of year again, The Mikindani Day Festival has arrived! We welcome all from Mtwara and Tanzania as a whole to come and join in the celebrations, which will all be aimed at advertising Mtwara!

This year it’s bigger and better! We are honoured to have a very special guest - world record holder Mr. Filbert Bayi Sankra, who will be participating in the Mikindani marathon alongside the Mtwara community. Put a reminder in your diary not to miss running alongside one of the greats!

The race categories are as follows: 21km, 5km and 2.5km (Specifically for the elderly and children). Elders older than 94 are welcome to participate, The spectacular swimming and dhow competition will be held from Mikindani Bay to Pemba Island.

We are very happy to share this good news with you, we managed to find very good job for one of our young talented chefs Islahi Ahamadi. He passed his Interview yesterday for the position of Sous Chef at the Paradise Beach Resort Zanzibar. He had an interview via video call, and he was given task of carving fruits.
